Yaperita

In 2021, our collaborative efforts with the CEFAMM Foundation in Ecuador led to the creation of “Yaperita,” a groundbreaking marketplace designed to empower and support migrant entrepreneurs in the country. Over the years, this initiative has become a beacon of success, providing crucial assistance and opportunities to thousands of migrant entrepreneurs, and our ongoing collaboration has proven to be a remarkable and fulfilling experience.

Yaperita was conceptualized as more than just a marketplace; it was a platform for migrant entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, share their cultures, and build sustainable businesses in their adopted home. The CEFAMM Foundation’s dedication to empowering migrants aligned seamlessly with our vision, creating a strong foundation for the project’s success.

From the outset, the Yaperita project aimed to break down barriers faced by migrant entrepreneurs in accessing markets, resources, and customers. Through the online marketplace, these entrepreneurs could reach a broader audience, fostering economic independence and cultural exchange simultaneously. Our collaboration emphasized the importance of inclusivity, recognizing the diverse range of talents and backgrounds that migrants brought to the table.

One of the key features of Yaperita was its emphasis on cultural preservation and celebration. The platform became a melting pot of unique products, services, and experiences, offering customers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of cultures that migrants brought with them. This approach not only facilitated economic opportunities but also promoted understanding and appreciation among communities.

Our collaboration with CEFAMM extended beyond the development of the marketplace. We worked closely with the foundation to provide training programs, mentorship opportunities, and resources to ensure that migrant entrepreneurs had the tools they needed to thrive. The Yaperita project became a holistic support system, addressing not only economic needs but also fostering a sense of community and belonging.

As the project unfolded, success stories emerged from the vibrant tapestry of Yaperita. Migrant entrepreneurs, once faced with challenges in a new country, found a platform that amplified their voices and enabled them to build successful businesses. The positive impact on local economies and the empowerment of migrant communities resonated as powerful testimonials to the project’s success.
